Joaquin Castellví is based in Geneva, Switzerland. He is the co-founder of Stoneweg Group and Chief Investment Officer of Stoneweg Asset Management SA. Prior to founding Stoneweg, he built his career at Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) and Edmond Rotschild (Suisse) S.a. Asset Management.

Building Stoneweg

As CIO of Stoneweg, he and his team have invested more than CHF 6 billion since the firm’s inception in 2015. The Group has since expanded its real assets and alternative investment platform and capabilities both organically and through strategic acquisitions. It currently manages approximately €9.0 billion in assets under management.

Stoneweg is a trusted investment manager and partner to a broad range of global and local investors, capital allocators, and financial institutions. Through tailored solutions — including club deals, joint ventures, and co-investments — it has established a strong investment track record across multiple strategies, both private and listed, and across diverse asset classes.

The Group has built an extensive network of local operating teams focused on identifying, developing, and managing real assets and other alternative investments worldwide. It currently employs more than 350 professionals across 23 offices in 15 European countries, the United States, and Singapore. The firm successfully listed one of its managed companies, Varia US Properties, on the SIX Swiss Exchange in Zurich (VARN).

Living

Stoneweg made an early and decisive entry into the Southern European living sector, establishing itself as a first mover in BTR, BTS, and flex-living, and building a pipeline of more than 5,000 residential units. Among these initiatives, the Skyline Towers project stands out as a flagship transaction, embodying the scale and ambition of the platform’s residential strategy.

Hospitality Platform (2021)

Established a successful value-add hospitality platform, reaching more than 1,700 keys and surpassing €1.0 billion in AUM.

Stoneweg Infrasport (2024)

Stoneweg InfraSports acquires, develops, and operates artificial surf destinations enhanced by lifestyle-oriented leisure, retail, and F&B offerings. The platform — with two parks currently in the portfolio — also assesses opportunities for complementary residential or hospitality components linked to the wave parks
